Ms. Suraya Keating works with Prometheus: as our Jury Selection Consultant and as a Psychotherapy Liaison. Ms. Keating is a California licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Drama Therapist. She is also a transformational theatre artist who performs on stage throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
As a Drama Therapist with a private practice based in Berkeley, Ms. Keating works with adults, students, community groups, and prison populations. She utilizes theatre as a tool to help her individual and group clients to enhance their awareness and nurture their growth through times of extreme emotional difficulty. A well-grounded practitioner in rehabilitative and developmental therapy, Ms. Keating directs Shakespeare plays with a group of inmates at San Quentin State Prison, and she is currently working on a project in which inmates will create original performance pieces based on their life stories.
With her keen insight into the human psyche, her trained intuition, and her deeply empathetic and smart work ethic, Ms. Keating works closely with our attorney to provide our clients at Prometheus: with a crucial advantage during the Jury Selection Process in litigation. Also, with a wide referral network of professional colleagues at her fingertips, Ms. Keating helps us to connect our clients with progressive, caring, and talented psychotherapists for purposes of Court ordered evaluations and litigation related therapy. As such, Ms. Keating is a central and much appreciated part of the wholistic approach to Legal Service that Prometheus: provides its clients.
